Mousike (Music)

Hi!, All around us is music, remove all of it we still have one music, it is our own heartbeat.

(Apollo – God of Music)

Some of us knows that music can sometime be relaxing and sometime be disturbing. Music for us humans is what we observe from our environment, like some other cultures, they imitate their surroundings by doing some of the weird sound for example they saw a dog barking at them and they imitate it using the words woof-woof-woof.

Music lives a thousand years before us humans lived. They even still existed even if we are not born or alive. Music is everywhere Like a rustling bush or a loud noise of a volcano.

The word music comes from the Greek word (mousike), which means “(art) of the Muses”. In Ancient Greece the Muses included the goddesses of music, poetry, art, and dance.

Music for me is like a another world for me to escape from reality, its is so cliche but its true. A music is way for me to forget my problems and leads me to another world where I can focus on something. Music helps me a lot as in a lot.

When I was a kid there was an old friend that really loves music so much that she is playing it while we are playing, I’m amazed that she have a lot of musical instruments like a piano, flute, ukulele, guitar, and a violin, that’s the time where I fell in love with music. One day there was a time that I went to their home to play with her the musical instrument, I notice that she is not there and suddenly they told me that she is in the hospital fighting for her sickness, later that day they suddenly told me that she already passed away.

That time when she passed away, i was scared and determined that i want to be good at music too. This is the time where I want music to create my life. This is the story of my life with music.

Every time I remember this story, I always play music by my side to relieved my stress towards something, and also remember her playing that sweet little melody that me me more relaxed.

You, what are your story that is related to music?
